DESCRIPTION FOR YELLOW PHASE
The overall security risk to IFRC personnel is Medium. Periodic political unrest, violent protests, and/or sporadic acts of political violence occur. IFRC personnel may face a risk from violent crime and/or communal, sectarian and/or racial violence. The capacity of security and emergency services and infrastructure varies.
INDICATORS/TRIGGERS FOR YELLOW PHASE
If one or more of these indicators are present, the phase may be yellow.
The IFRC Security Risk Assessment includes several medium-level risks.
There is a medium overall risk of crime in our operational areas.
There are periodic violent protests in the capital and/or in our operational areas.
There are periodic violent crimes within our operational area and/or near our premises.
There is a risk of a coup.
The authorities/security forces impose some movement restrictions (such as checkpoints).
Armed security forces are present in some public areas.
